I've looked at this camera on and off and I just may buy one of the price is right, the design is intriguing.Yet if I understand correctly,it doen't have true manual override on the iris, but has a "lock" feature which I assume is cart keyed. If I'm using a stock that is not keyed, how does one get around this?Is there a way to "fool"the meter?

There are several ways to fool the meter. Have a flashlight and a pen light handy. Also white paper and black paper.
You should be able to do a "blend" of different papers to get the f-stop you want, or use the penlight and flashlight.
If you are outdoors, just pan and scan for darker objects when you want to open up the f-stop, (then lock the meter), and if you want to iris down, look for brighter objects and then lock the meter.
Maybe the camera has a fade in fade out function??? This would make the process even easier.
By the way, the camera is a very cool looking camera.

Have you ever used this camera?I hear it makes a very stable image and the optics are very sharp.

I have not used the camera but I think that a fellow super-8 user named Chas uses the camera and likes it.
